The Foreign Relations Committee of tho Senate reports in favour cf tho United States policing Mexican territory unless Mexico cau protect tho rights of American • citizens.—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn, (Rcc. June 1, 8.25 p.m.) Washington, May 31. The Senate Foreign Relations Committee's report against the. policing of Mexico adds that recognition of the revolutionary Government should lie withheld \intil it is certain whether Huerla's administration is approved by the Mexican people and whether he is able and willing to comply with national practice. The claims of Americans against Mexiro for damage already total a hundred millions sterling.—Reuter. [Thero is a discrepancy between the above tw'o messages, the earlier one stating that the committee favoured tho policing of Mexican territory and the later one stating that it reported against the suggestion.]
