FOREST SURVEY
NEW USE FOB AEROPLANES.
London, May 29. There have been novel developments in the uses of the aeroplane in its adaptation for forest survey purposes, to give exact and speedy information as to the extent of forests and the most suitable lines for cutting tracks. Aeroplanes are expected to do valuable work in opening up lands not fully explored, and; a number of aeroplanes are now in course of shipment to Canada for this .work, while others are being sent to India. The machines are designed to carry both cargo and passengors, and are fitted with interchangeable land-carriers and floats -Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.-Reuter.
