VERDICT FOR £350 DAMAGES
MEE PTJEOHASE OF A MOTOK-LOEBY. Mr. Jus,tico Salmond and a jury of four yesterday concluded the hearing of tho case T. E. Broughton (Mr. J. C. Peacock) v. Neil Doiieghuu and Co. Ltd. (Mr. A. Fair). Plaintiff claimed £300 damages for alleged breach of contract in connection yjith tho hire purchaso of a motor-lorry from de' fendants, and defendants counter-claimed £50 damages possession of 'the lorry, and £7 7s. 6d. for work done.
The jury were called upon to decido six questions of fact, fcnd on each issue they roturned an answer in favour of tho plaintiff. They found that plaintiff was entitled to £300 damages in respect to tho quality of tho lorry, and to m 0 damages in respect to loss of profits. Questions of law wero reserved, for ar< gument upon a date yet to bo fixed.
