FATALITY IN JERVOIS QUAY

ONE MAN KILLED. ANOTHER INJURED. One rami, William Coombs, was killed, and another. John Tilley, was injured through a collision with it motor lorry in Jervois Quay yesterday afternoon. Very meagre details of the occurrence were available last night. It appears, however, that Coombs, who was a married man and a resident of Ongnonga, Hawkes Bay, received injuries to his head, and shoulders and succumbed at 10.30 p.m. in' the Public Hospital. Deceased was 40 years of age. He tod lately been stayins at the New Commercial Hotel. ■Tiller, described as ii years of aw, married, and residing in Eagle. Street, Karori, received injuries to his rigliMnp and right leg. His condition last night was not considered by the hospital authorities to be serious.
