Tho 'Wellington Returned Soldiers' Association lias taken up tho question of tho high cost of living. On Friday next a public meeting is to bo held in tho Town- Hall and is expected to bo the biggest meeting ever hold in tho Dominion on this subject. The Women's (National Council of Wellington havo_ joined forccs with tho returned soldiors for this meeting. Miss N. E. Coad, M.A., president of the Women's National Council, Professor T. 11. Hunter, of the Victoria University College, and Mr. G. M. Mitchell. D.5.0., M.P., will address the moeting. The audience will bo told tho real causo of the high cost of living, the remedies to deal with it, and the wa.v of getting tho remedies. Tho meeting will start at 8 p.m. sharp. _ Admission will bo free, and there will bo no collection. No scats will bo rcaerod.
