The first animal' meeting of the South Waintrapa School Committees' Association was held in Feath'erston on Tuesday night, Mr. A. C. Holms, president, presiding. . The election of officers resulted:' President, Mr.' A. C. Holms; vice-president, liev. R. H. Catherwood; lion, secretary-treasurer, Mr. .T. \V. Henderson; lvon. auditor, Sir. C. J. Carlyon; execution, chairmen Carterton, Grcylown, Martinborough and Featherston committees, together with Messrs, H. Tilyard (ICaiwaiwni}, H. Daysh (Dverville), and GreytWn and Carterton rural representatives 1 to bo appointed litter. Remits adopted by the officers for the Dominion conference were explained by the president and endorsed. The officers were appointed -is association delegates. In his presidential review Mr. Holms emphasised the need for, the committpea of small schools linking up to a greater extent in the move-, inent.
