THE LATEST NOTIFICATIONS,
During the period May 21 to May 27, 409 cases of influenza were notified to tho District Health Office, a decrease of 168 _ compared with the corresponding period of last weak. Tho eases woro classified as follow: Mild, d-44; pneumonic, 18; severe, 7. An increase of four is shown in the .number of pneumonic cases compared with the corresponding period of last weok, notifications of such cases being received from tho following places: New Plymouth, lj Manaia, 1; Eltham, G; Hawe'ra, 1; Wangnnui, 3; Levin, 1; Otaki, 1; Wellington city, 3; Pahjatna, 1. Details of tho latest influenza notifications nro as follow i Dannevirke: 4 mild. Woodville, 27 mild. Norse* wood: 1 mild. Waipawa: 11 mild. New Plymouth: 3 mild, 1 severe, 1 pneumonic. Opunake: 70 mild, 1 severe. Inglewood: 1 mild. Waitara; 1 severe. Stratford: 23 mild, 2 eevere.t Manaia: 7 mild, 1 pneumonic. Kaponga: 7 mild. Eltham: 14 mild, 0 pneumonic. Hawera: 8 mild, 1 pneumonic. Wnvcrley: 8 mild. Bulls: 5 mild. Wangamii: 27 mild, 3 pneumonic. Marton: 13 mild. Huntervillc: I mild. Palmerston North: 11 mild, Feilding: 15 mild.
