e IMPORTANT EXTENSIONS CONTEMPLATED. At last night's meeting of tho Harbour Board tho -Wellington Patent Slip Company, Ltd., notified that an order had now been placed for mi'chtnery for a 750-ton slip for Evans Bay. In order to remove any misapprehension that might have existed tho company intimated that the delay in the improvement of tho facilities at Evans Bay had not 'been intentional. Endeavours had been mncln. by thio company's London representative for some considerable time past to obtain tenders for the necessary machinery, but without result until recently.
