MONTHLY,MEETING. , The 'Wellington Hospital and .Charitable Aid Board met yesterday, when there were present?: Messrs. Jr. Castle (cbairmnn), G; J. Petherick, J.. Glover, J.. Hutchison. A. ,T. On the recommendation of .ilio Hospital Committee',, it was decided that the resignations of Sisters, Dora Weaver and W. Waite, Mr. W, Siii-idge, collector, and Mr. I!. TYaser Dodds, dispenser's assistant, he accepted with regret, and that, a spcoial letter of thanks be sent, to Sister Weaver, who has carried out her duties as sister in charge of the lever block most satisfactorily. It was decided that the nroposed alterations at "The. Ewart Hospital" be placed in the hands of tho board's engineer to carry out by day labour, and that the work be pushed on forthwith.. The Finance Committee recommended, and it was decided, that the Wellington Education Board be informed that their offer of X 3500 for Lot 10. Clifton Terrace (site temporarily occupied by the Clifton Terrace Hospital for male chronic invalids) cannot be accepted, but that the board, when able to dispose of the property, would be prepared to accept the amount of ' tho valuation submitted by its valuer, Mr. C. C. "Crump, less 10 per cent. The Hospital Board decided yesterday that letters of thanks bo sent to Mrs. Hunter, per Mr. E. A. Eyres, No. 84 Corcmandel Street, for his, donation of an invalid chair; to Captain Dawson for loan of bunting during-the recent visit of the Prince of Wales; and- to Messrs. ,Toy, i Cook, and Carey, of Pe>one. for their kindly action in motoring the, inmates of the Belmont Convaltscent Home for Children to witness ths Petone pageant during the visit of the Prince of Wales.
