MAGISTRATE'S COURT
A short sitting of the Maeißtrate'i Court was held yesterday moruine, before Mr. T.. Pnee, S.M. Phillln Austin Mfnshall. for whom Mr. V. TV, Jackßon appeared, was remanded to Friday nn a,charge of obtaining £15 from Alfred liiilham by means cf a valueless cheque, with intent to defraud. He was admitted to hall in the sum of £50. and ono surety of £50. James Bobertson was fined £3, with the alternative of seven days' imprisonment, for committing a third broach of his prohibition order, and for beincp found drunk for the sixth timn in nix months he was fined £1, in default three days' innrisonim'cmt. A fine of £5, with tho aptfcm of 14 days' imnTi'ponment. was inflicted on Arthur Lro ' Mllo for Uslne obscene Innjruflpe. and f/ir drunkenness ho wa<s fined 55., in defnuli V, hours' imprisonment.
