Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their weeltly ealn in the Levin yards on Tuesday, when tnoy offered a. good utfrdiiis of Bheen and cattle. Competition for sheep wob on a par with late sales, hut cattle were again neglected, and saloa were hard to effect. The principal Bales were as under :-Fat ewoe, 33a. 6d. : extra good woolly lambs, toB. Jd.i good-conditioned shorn lambs, 18s. 6d.; forward empty ewes, 245. Id.; 2-tno:n wethers (good), 31s. lOd. Cattle: Lightweight fat cows, £10 to £10 lCs.; young Btore cows, £6 17s. 6d.: dairy cows, close to profit, £18; heifers, close to proilt, til to £13 10b.
