KARORI PROGRESSIVE ASSOCIATION
A meeting was held in tho Karon Council Cluinvbers last evening, Mr. J. s CaugMey presiding, with a view of form-, ing a local progressive association. Tho. general objects of the s.ssociation are to promote and support all movements for education which will benefit Karon, and also assist the City Council by, forwarding suggestions and proposals in regard to permanent, improvements. Mr I Sykes moved and Mr. F. snalders fioconded: "That a Kavori Progress, give Association be formed, and a sub-, committee be appointed to draw up a draft of the objeets and rules of the as- 1 , j sociation," which will be submitted at a goneral meeting to be held, on Tuesday; next. The following temporary committee was appointed—Messrs. J. Sykes, A. M'Kcnzio,V. Stags. I* C- Portcr - D> Burn; and J. Caughley. ....
