ABLE TO SUPPLY EMPIRE'S PETROL REQUIREMENTS. , London, May 20. Tho "Sunday Express" states that the contract under wluch tho Anglo-Persian Oil Company market's its output through the Royal Dutch Shell Combine will expire in 1922. After that the AngloPersian Company, owing to its far-see-ing management, will bo a'ble to supply the British Empire with its entire requirements of petrol, and by 192-t will compete in all the markets of the world against the Royal Dutch' Shell '■ arid Standard Oil 'Companies. This explains tho efforts of tho Royal Dutch to secure control of the Mesopotamian oilfields, in the hope of being able to force the Anglo-Persian Company to renow tho existing contract,—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Asm.
