FATAL FIRE IN JAPAN
LARGEST CANNING FACTORY IN THE ORIENT DESTROYED. (Rec, May 24, 11.25 p.m.) Tokio, May 24. Fire totally destroyed a canning factory at Hakodato. The canning factory was the biggest in the Orient. Four persons are dead and several are missing. The damage is two million yen.—Renter.
