RENEWAL OF ALLIANCE OPPOSED IN CHINA INVOLVEMENT IN EASTERN POLICY FEARED By Telegraph-Press Associatlon-Oopyrignt London, May i'O. The "Morning Post's" Tientsin correspondent says that Englishmen in the Far Unst almost unanimously oppose the Tencwing of the Anglo-Japanese Alliance in its present form, fearing it would involve firitnin discreditably in Japan's Eastern policy. They believe the Alliance prevents more cordial Anglo-American cooperation in China, which is indispensable for the solution of; China's difficulties. The Chinese Press bitterly coiflments on the possibility of a renewal of the,, Anglo-Japanese Alliance on the existing terms.—Aus.-N.Z. Gable Assn
