MINISTERIAL VISIT TO WESTLAND
« — Br Telegraph—Press Association. Hokitika, May 20. The Hon. J. G. Coates, who is visiting Westland, reached tho coast by way of the Otira Tunnel yesterday. Accompanied by -members of the Westland County Council, he visited various farms in the district, and last evening received a deputation regarding local requirements. Tho Minister was entertained' subsequently by the local bodies. To-day, accompanied by Mv. T. Seddon, M.P., he is visiting Kokatahi Settlement, and tonight will lie entertained by the Returned Soldiers' Association, 'fo-inor-row, after -an inspection of tho serious river encroachment at Harri- Harri, the Minister will proceed to Greymputh and the north,
