Dalgety and Co., Limited, report having a moderate yarding of shcop and cattle at their Hunlerville sale on Tuesday, which met with a fair inquiry at the following prices; -Small lambs, lis. 6d. mixed age cwcb, in lamb, 22b. Id.; mixed wcaners, 315.; small yearling steers, £2 Is. to' £3. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Limited, report having a fair entry of eheep and a good yarding of cattle at their Fcilding sale ">n Friday. Following are Quotations :— Sheep, Bmall lambs, lis. 10d.; very fair lambs, 20s. 6d.; woolly lambs, 235.; f. and f. ewes, 275. 4d. Onttle: Store cows, i 4, £4 10s.; dairy heifers, £8, £9, to .£lO 10s.;. springing hciferb, £15 10s. to £17; 20-month steers, £5 15s. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their weekly sale at Levin on Tueßday, when they offered a good yarding of sheep and cattle. The principal quotations are as follow :-Fat Bheep, 32b. 9d. to 35b. 4d.; 2-toolh wethers, to 2?n.; forward ewes, to 255.; shorn lambs, 15s. 6d. to 195.; fat cows, £8' 12s. W. to £9 10s.; store cows, £3 17s. fd.to £5; dairy heifers, £5 to £8 2s. 6d. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report on their' Pahiatua sale, held on Tuesday.' We had a small entry of cattle only. Competition was dull and prices low. Wfc quote :~18month dairy heifers, in calf, £6 6b. to £7; 18-month empty heifers, low condition, £2 Is.; weanor calves, 18a. The New Zealand Loan arid Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report :-On Monday, at Kakaramoa, wn had a fair yarding ->f grown cattle. Bidding was not brisk, and all clasßeß of cattle Bhowed a downward tendency. We quote.:—Fat and-forward cowb, £8 ss. to £9 5b.; stores,'at lato rates; bulls, £7 to £11; yearling Bleers (good), £2 7s. 6d. to £2 17s. 6d.; weaner heifers, £2 18s. 6d.; lambs, 225. 2d.; culls; ss. Bd. Owing to Wednesday being covered in the Egmont race meeting dates, we hold our Eltham sale on the Tuesday,-and the alteration to this day no doubt made the sale dull and smaller than usual. In spitn of this the whole yarding practically changed owners before leaving. Fat cows, £10 ss. to £10 12b. 6d.-. forward ditto. £3 10b. to £9 10s.; stores. £4 to £6 18a.; mixed Woancrs. £2; 4. Ctooth and f.m. wethers (nuiall), 3ls. We hold our Hawera sale on Friday, owing to Thursday, the usual day, falling on the second day of the Hawera races. We had a Bmall yarding of cattle, which sold in favour of vendors. On the same day, at Wavcrloy, we had a good yarding of cattle. The attendance was poor, doubtless owing to the Eltham races. Bidding was very slack, and several lota wero, passed in. We quote:-Fat cowh, £12; fat and forward cows, £7 to £8 10s.; 18month, m.s., £4 5b.; Hereford heiferß, r.w.b. £5 12s. 6d. to £6 55.; 18-month steers, £6 45.; Hereford bulls, £10 Us. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company. Ltd.. report on their weekly sale at Eketahuna on Thursday: -We olfcrcd a good vardinc of ehoun and w.ttle to a ;ood attendance of l-uyori.
