UREN At the opening of tlie box plan yesterday morning Jor the Holland-Urcn boxing contest on Monday next, the booking for a firßt day was easily a record, and the committee consider there iB every prospect of a full booking before the plan closes on Monday evening. It being tlio desire of the association to avoid the usual crowding at ticket boxes on tlio evening, arrangements have been made to sell tickets for tho gallery and back stalls from noon' on Saturday: Only tickets for the actual seating accommoda' tion will be disposed of, and if'.the demand comos up to expectations, there will be no tickets for those parts of the hall for sale at the door's on Monday even- 1 ins. Intending patrons should the'refora get their tickets early. Following Monday night's tournament a match has been arranged between Volairc and Havilali Uren. two lightweights who rccontly drew at Greymoutli. On that occasion tho diEplay waß voted as easily tho best ever, seen on the coast. This tournament is to take' place 011 June 7. With a view to assisting the funds to send a team of New Zealand athletes' to the Olympic Gamo) a movement is on foot to give ail evening's display of triiiniU? and sparring at. the Town Hall on Saturday ovoning. The matter 1 has been receiving attention for some days, and if certain details can bo, arranged, a definite acnouncement. will ho mado to-morrow' morning..
