Gosney, late captain and secretary of tho Potono "Soccer" football Clu'j, who is leaving the district to tako up his residence in Cliristclmrch, a smoke concert was held at tho Palaco Thentro 011 Saturday evening. Many members present referred in eulogistic terms to the manner in which Mr. Gosnoy had carried out his duties in connection with tho "Soccer" game iit Petone, and in recognition of liis services to the club he was nrescnted with a Morocco leather dressing-case.
