FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications arc for Btrong -west to south-westerly winds. Weather dull and squally, with heavy showers'. Snow on higher levels in the south, and colder ■weather following. The barometer is due to rise everywhere shortly. A westerly low-preßßure area is now pass- : ing in the south, and rain haß fallen, especially on tho West Coast, and some snow ia reported this morning in the high country.
