■By Telegraph—Presa Association, > Waihi.-May 16. _William Cunliffe, an elderly man employed as .watchman. by the-WaihiGold Mining Company, died rather suddenly •at.the hospital just after Bvo'clock8 v o'clock on Friday ilight. Debeased went to work as usual on Friday afternoon, when he complained of feeling unwell. Shortly afterwards lie lapsed into a state of semiconsciousness. He was taken to the hospital, where lie died, as stated, without having regained consciousness. Death was due to kidney trouble.
