BISHOP OF GIPPSLAND. Sydney, Mav 15. Dr. Arthur Wellesley Pain, Bishop of Gippsland, is dead, aged 79-Prcss Assn. [The late Bishop of Gippsland was e native of England. Ho was ordained in 18GG, and camo to Australia two years later. Ho woe chaplain to tho Archbishop of Sydney from 1893 till 1902 and Canon of Sydney from 1897 till 1902, when ho was created Bishop of Gipjfsland. Dr. Pain had been lion, secretary of tho Church Missionary Society or Australia and Now Zealand since 1M7.1
