BONUS TO MILITARY STAFF. According to General Headquarters i structions just issued approval has bei Riven for "payment of the recently-autho ised cost-of-living bonus to the milita: as well as the civil staff. The followii are the rates payable as from January 1920 Married: ,£ls per annum,-if on a: nual salary, or daily rate seven days pi veek. Married men 011 daily rate, s days per week, Is. per diem. Single mer £7 10s. per annum if on annual salary, < daily rate seven days per week. Sing men on daily rate, six days per week, G< per diem. The bonus will not ho paid i nryone in receipt of more 'han pc ai'imm. Arrangements are being made t pay for four months up to April 30, fer< after the .bonus will he paid monthly.
