Mr. John I. Fox, who has under- j taken to. make preliminary inquiries, states: "I am confident that Wellington : shall not be behind other large centres in : { securing a centre for the activities of tho; j Wellington Eeturned Soldiers' Associa-; j tion, and where the esprit-de corps will ,] lie perpetuated. From what 1 can' 4 gather, returned soldiers themselves will j take their share in subscribing towards this effort, and I have no doubt that certain patriotic fund 9 and unexpended; j war funds will be available to help along , this fin© effort.
