ACCLIMATISATION SOCIETY
»— ■ Mr. L. 0. H. Tripp presided at last I night's meeting of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society. A letter was received from the Auckland Society suggesting that tho Wellington Society and other North Island societies should each subscribe a certain amount for five years for the purposes of raising game. The Auckland 'Society has a successful farm at Cambridge, and last year well over 1000 birds were sent out. The assets of tho Auckland Society in respeot to this farm are X3IG3, and tho society suggested that it should, bo credited with 8 per cent, on its assets, in addition to an annual subscription. The game raised would be divided between the various societies in' proportion to their annual subscription. This scheme would enable game to; bo reared at far cheaper rates. It was decided' to refor the mattor to the Game Committee.
