A RECORD LAST WEEK. The tramway traffic in Wellington last Friday was easily a' record tor the city.. The cash takings on, the cars amounted to .£1054 Ss. id. Tho takings on Thursday of last week were J!92i is. Bd., making a total for tho tiro days of ,£l9Bl 13s. Saturday was anothor ■ big day, the takings being ,£941 Us. Id. iha strain upou tho system and the stall during t'ho visit of the Prince was very great, Olid the management and the men acquitted themselves well.
