THE HONEY CROP
The director, of tho horticulture divisiin of flic Department of Agriculture has received from the apiary instructors the following reports concerning th* honey crop prospects :-- Auckland.—The weather in April has been somewhat cold, indicating an eat-ly winter. There is nothing further to report in. regard to prices, which reuntil unchanged. Large quantities of honey arc now arriving at the grading store fo" export. Cbr'stchurch and Dunedin.—Tliere is little fresh to report. Extracting id finished and consignments for export are now coming forward. The returns varied considerably throughout the distr;..-'*- Prices are firm. Bulk honey is quoted at Bd. to lOd. Sections to 12<. 6-J. , per dozen. Beeswax is in strong demand and sales ore being effected at 2s. 6d. per lb.
