LEAGUE FOOTBALL
The Wellingtdn Rugby League held their weekly meeting-last evening, Mr. F. C. Evans presiding, Tho City Council wrote inquiring for information re dqtes required by the League for use of the Basin Reserve. It was decided to supply the information. The Auckland and Canterbury Leagues wrote stating that they intended visiting Wellington towards the end of the season. For the purpose of giving players an opportunity of training, a gymnasium has been Opened in Sydney Street, and is being well patronised. _ Tho draw for Saturday's games was as follows :— Seniors.—Petone v. Newtown, .at Petone ; referee, Mr. A. House. Athletics v. Suburbs, at Newtown Park; referee, Mr. C. Murphy. Juniors.—Suburbs v. Athletics, at Newtown Park, 2 p.m.; referee, Mr. Evans.
