ST. MARK'S CHURCH
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the parishioners of St. Mark's Church was held last night, the acting-vicar, tho Be*. A. T. B. Page, presiding. The report of the churchwardens and vestry stated that it .was hoped to welcome the vicar (the Eev. C. F. Askeiv; home from England before tlw end of t''« year. The parish owed a debt of gratitude to the acting-wear-(th« Eev; A. T. B. Page) for the able manner in which he had carried out the work during the year. The finances of the parish were fairly satisfactory, thereVbeing a credit balance of ,£69 lis. Gd. balance was due almost entirely to the success of the annual salo of work. General offertories nnd pew rents showed a do* cided falling-off, but,' on the otier hand, it was pleasing to note that parishioners had responded most generously to all special appeals made. St. Mark's Church School, under Miss Holm, continued to do good work. The Parish Trust Board'* statement showed a total of ,£1503 10s. 8d to the credit of .the rebuilding fund, i-n increase of JJ27 -Is. during the sear. The Missionarv and Benevolent Society collected 4to os. 3d. during the year. Officers were elected as follow.—Ch'urchwardens—Vicar's, Hfr. W. H. Madeley; parishioners', Mr. W. J. Gnudin. Vestry, Messrs. Bamerton, E. E. Eawnslcy. J. Besant, Button, A. J. Williamson, D. 'Allen, A. J. S. White," Eenktti, Stcvais, and M. Bowman.
■ Votes of thunlra were accorded to the. organist (Mr. L. P. Watkins) and the choir for their work during Hie year, also to the various guilds connected with the activities of the church.
