A FREEZING WORKS DISPUTE
MAY BE SETTLED SHORTLY. By TeloeraDh—Frees Association, V Christchurch, May 7. Mr. Vi. H. Hugger (Conciliation Commissioner) stated to-day that after making inquiries into the cause of the stoppage of work nt Islington T.rcezing Works, he had come to the conclusion that there were misunderstandings, and. he had reason to belicvo that both parties realised the fact.- In the circumstances, he had cause to hope that at) a meeting of the employees to-morrow night a complete settlement of the dispute would be reached, and that the employees would resume work in ?. fewdays.
