ANNUAL MEETING. By Telegraph—Frees Association.' Auckland, May 7. Tho annual meeting of the New Zealand Rugby League was held to-uigiht. The financial statement showed a bal-' ance in tho bank of .£lOll, the total assets being c£ll3D, and liabilities nil. Dr. Thacker, M.P., was elected patron, and 1 Mr. D. W. M'Lean president. Certain alterations to tho game with a view to making the New Zealand game: 1 similar to that played in Australia and - England were approved. : Tho chairman said that tho English 1 team's visit would help to improve play, and would increase interest in tho game further south. ■ 4 j A number of alterations to rules were .adopted. Rule 3G, dealing with payment of 10s. per day to players away ' from S*Jne, was altered to read as follows:— "This lenguo may pay out-of-pocket ox- - penses to players during,such time as . they are away from home as representatives of the league." jlt was agreed to make inquiries regard- ■ mg tho' possibility of a, tour of England „ l)y a New Zealand team in 1922. ,
