SOLOMON ISLANDS MISSION
PROPOSED' TRANSFER TO NEW ZEALAND. (l?cc. May 8, 1.35 a.m.) Sydney, May 7. The Methodist General Conference discussed a suggestion that the Solomon Islands district, including .Bougainville and I'uka, be transferred to the New Zealand Conference in 1922. The Rev. Lawry declared that if the Dominion was to accept the financial responsibility whilo the General Conference retained the larger share of administration NewZealand .would say, "No, thanlc you." She would not accept responsibility without control. The debate was adjourned. —Press Assn.
