Sir,-How can any body of .men-.be.. eo wilfully blind to facts' as the Seamen s Union appears to bo, ,when they pass resolutions condemning the transporting of , any force to suppress men who were on ~' strike for improved conditions They surely mu6t know perfectly well that the , Force .would not be used to suppress men on'strike. The force was only intended to suppress men who might be commit- , ting illegal violence. If ■■ there was no violence there would he no need for the force. Tho law-abiding man need not fear. tho presence of the whole British Army, ana he would not feel pffynde'd n *j its presence.'
