2IEMORIAL TO SOSDIEBS,

At the recently-held conference at Palmeraton North of the N.Z. Central District, 1.0. R., tho following resolution waa unanimously carried: "That a memorial to our soldier brethren bo erected in the form of a suitablo building in Wellington, to be the future home for the headquarters of the N.Z. Central District, and that tho executive purchase the laud on the corner of Taranaki and Ghuznce Streets, under offer, for the erection of the memorial building. Tho purchase has lx'eii effected, and the kind of building will be. decided by the executive. Efforts aro to be made to ercct the building hj September, 1922, when the jubilee of the district will be celebrated. An invitation is to be sent to tho High Ohief Eulcr, England, to visit New Zealand, and join in the jubileo celebrations. ' At the outbreak of the war the membership 6f the district was j.ust over 3000, 500 were sisters. Prom tho 2500 male members 710 joined up in tho N.Z.E.F.; 101 made tho supremo sacrifice upon the field of battle. A three or four-story building will be ereeted, auitablo to requirements of tho city and for lodge rooms, offices, and assembly hall.

IV. H. Fretliey, Lower Hutt: Bro. T. W. Ward', Wellington; Bro. J. T. ltash, Wellington; proxies to net with the district officers. Bro. W. Johnson, Wellington; Bro. W. J. Gaudin, Wellington; Bro. H, W, Smith, Wellington; Sister E. Lodge, Wellington.
