May 0, 1.5 a.m.) Dublin May 8. One hundred armed men besieged the , house of Sir Arthur Vicars, The leader threatened him with a revolver. Sir Arthur Vicars told him to shoot. He agreed to show the men the strong room, but refused to give up the key. He was then placed under a guard While the invaders attacked the strong ,'oom with crowbars and pickaxes, but without success.
