A dinghy was swamped astern, so that the occupants could not have gone ashore ;by that means. That leads to the belief Hint a disaster has occurred. The boat was recently purchased by John Bellock, a returned soldier, who was carrying pjjsts to Coromandel. Nothing is known about l,im.
