A car bound from Napier to Wellington swerved when passing another car,.and went over a bank. Mr. Faulds, of Gisborne, lad both collarbones broken, and Mrs. L'uoas, of Napier, was pinned beneath the car, but escaped with severe .bruises. The other occupants of the ear escaped with a shaking. 'The; car took fire,'.but tho flames was soon got under.
