COUNCIL ASKED FOR HELP.

At Thursday's meeting of the City Council Councillor E. A. Wright' asked if the City Council would , assist the sufferers .by the recent floods at Lyall Bay. ■ Councillor P. Eraser said he had visited .the locality at the foot of Sutherland Road, and he had never in his life seen such a.scene of devastation.
