Values ivero well maintained in all classes of iat stock, particularly in sheep and cattle, l'ho store sheep yarding comprised a considerable consignment of South Otago and southern sheep, which were in backward condition. Ttio market opened sluggishly, nnd at a considerable decrease on the preceding week's rates. Vendors were prepaid! to acccpt the market, nnd there were few passings. Tho tone nnd values improved as tho sale progressed. Forward lambs 19s. to 21s. 10d., ordinary lambs, lis. od., 18s. Gd.; cull lambs, 10s„ 12s. 9d.; good 2-tooth ewes, to 295. 9(1.; 2, 4, G, and 8-tooth ewes, 255., 28s. Gd.; inferior 4, G, and 8-tooth owes, 195., 225. Bd.; 4 nnd 5-year owes, 2fls., 245. 6d.; sound-mouth ewes, 21s.
