Tho churchwardens and vestry of the parish of St. Mark, Wellington, in their report for tho year ended March 31, state that tho vicar, Rev. C. F. Askew, is still in England, but it is hoped to welcomo him home before the end of the venr. The parish owes a debt of gratitude to the Rev. A. T. B. Page for tho able manner in which ho has car-, ried on the work during tho past year. Tho finances of the parish aro fairly satisfactory. there boing a credit balance of £69 lis. 6d. for tho year. This balance is due almqßt entirely to the sucoess of tho annual sale of work. St. Mark's Church School, under Miss Holm, continues to maintain a high standard both in at. tendance and work. The sale of work held in October showed a credit balance of X'i)os. The Parish Trust Board's statement shows a total of £61503 lGs. Hd. to credit of the rebuilding fund, an ine reaso of .£27 4s. during»the year.
