Tho "Daily News" San Remo ■ correspondent states that it has been resolved that tho Economic Committee shall meet tho Soviet delegation, headed by Krassin, now at Copenhagen, and tak) the steps necessary to develop trado between Russia and the Allied countries. This -resolution cancels the previous decision only to negotiate with Russian co-operative societies. This step is duo to the vigour with which Mr. Lloyd George pressed tho proposals.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. SOVIET PAPER'S COMPLAINT "PEOPLE STARVED IN MIND AND BODY." Stockholm, April 25; Tho Soviot organ "Isvestia" complains that the people are starved in inind, as well as body, owing to the paralysis of the printing trades. POLAND"UKRAINE TREATY READY FOR. SIGNATURE.' (Reo, .April 26, 9.45 p.m.) Warsaw, April 25. The Polish-Ukraine Treaty is completed and is awaiting signature. It recognises Ukraine's independence and the autonomy of Poland. It undertakes to assist in freeing the. right bank of the Dnieper and/ repudiates the Bolshevik Government established at Kharkoff, while Ukraine guarantees Poland free transport to Odessa. Under the Treaty tho west frontier of Ukraine follows tho Rivers Sabruez and -Styr. Poland retains command, of Lutsk, while Rovno and Dubno are provisionally allotted to Ukraine—Aus.-N.Z. 1 Cable Assn.
