LOANS TO SOLDIERS
PROTEST AGAINST A STOPPAGE.
By Telegraoh—Press Association. New Plymouth, April 26. Intense surprise is expressed by returned soldiers liero at the announcement by the Hon. D. H. Gutlme that advances for farms and dwellings ha™ been stopped. The question that the men are asking is whether the stoppage is temporary or permanent. It is tell that a definite and clear statement should be made by the Prime Minister. The men .resent the action of the Government la stopping the loans without, warning.
