By Teleeraph—Prosn Association. Auckland, April 2G. At midnight Constable Holt saw a' man enter the premises of I\ H. Ferguson and Company, wholesale stationers, Albert Street. The constable pursued, iiim upstairs and found tho man behind a package. The man threatened to down his pursuer, and tho , constable switched off his clcctrio torch 'm closed with the jnnn as a heavy 6teol chisel grazed his cheek. The man was arrested and removed to the police-sta-tion, He was in possession of articles for which he will be required to. account. The arrested man in the enoounter sustained a'fractured colhfbone and an injury to his jaw.
