■■. -4. . : On account of the Government holiday yesterday tho Magistrate's Court sat at 9 a.m., when a short list was .disposed of by Mr. Hollings, S.M. Stephen J. Rodda, who was brought back from Christchurch to meet a maintenance charge, was ordered to pay 10s. per week and to pay £25 past maintenance, this latter amount to bo paid m three monthly instalments. Tho Bench further ordered him to .find a surety of .£SO within- a month. For drunkenness Lilian Playter was fined £[, and for a breach of her prolr.bition order was fined ■&),
