AIRMAN CAPTURED BY ARABS
DURING ROME TO TOKIO PLIGHT. Delhi, April 22.' Captain Ranzat, an Italian, airman, has arrived at Karachi. Ee said he was captured by Arabs 35 miles from Aleppo, when landing Ee fought them with his pistol till his 'cartridges were used and then surrendered. His machine ivas riddled with bullets. After fiva hours the Arabs were attacked by a patrol of the Sherif's cavalry and Hod, and the aviator was rescued and taken to a neighbouring village. During the night Arabs and Turk's stole the aeroplane, which, later, was recantured by a detachment .of troopers; . The liiachine was repaired.' and the flight continued. Captain Ranzat is the last of the Italians on the Rome-to-Tokio flight—Ans.-N.Z. Cable, Assn.
