— 4 — '■ GREYMOUTH RESOLUTIONS. By Telesranh-Pross Asiodnti:n. Greymouth, April 22. A large and representative meeting of tho West Coast pection of the Post and Telegraph Association to-night unanimously carried tho following resolutions: "That'this meeting records it? emphatic protest ajainst tho delay in announcing the result of the inquiry held hy tho Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout) in December last, re the war bonus promised bv Sir Joseph Ward in 1918, and urges the association's executive to demand as the right of the service an immediate announcement by the Prime Minister. "That this meeting views with the gravest concern the decision of tho Government to meet the pressing economic burden bv a bonus at the rate for mnrvied permanent officers of Jls per annum (Hid. per day); single, .£7 10s. (SJd.), temporary officers married Is., and single Gd. per day, and strongly urges the association's executive to demand as the imperative need of the service a substantial increase in the'salary'6cale."
