It was resolved that with regard to the schools competition that any representative. teams should bo elected by schoolmasters, tho selection commitlno to lie elccted utter tho first round. In previous years the teams have been selected bv a committee of referees. There was some discussion with regard to grading tho teams. It was pointed out that unless moro trams entered for the north district, only three teams having entered from that district to date, it would hardly be possiblo to grade the teams. The entries to dnite are as follow:—Worser Bay, South Wellington <2), Newtown, Bcrhainpore, Island Bay, Northland. Wadestown, Marist (2), Jolinsonville, Porirua, and Tawa Plat. The visit of the Prince of Wales made it impossible to commence tho competition 011 May 7, as already announced. It was. therefore, decided to leave tho matter in the hands of tho association.
