4 ANNOUNCEMENT OF POLICY EXPECTED. Melbourne. April 21. The Government has dccided to extend the period of service of ratings in the Australian Navy to twelve years. Cabinet has considered dofcnco proposals, and it is expected that Mr. Hughes will announce a policy in a, few days. It is expected that while all Lord Jellicoe's recommendations will not be adopted, certain suggestions will bj givon effect to immediately.—Press Assn.
