AUCTION SALE OF MOTOR-CARS
? An innovation in the motor-car business was introduced yesterday by Stantous, Ltd., motor-car Importers, when thev put up a number of cars to auction at their Molesworth Street ravaee. The Bale attracted a largo attendance. The auctioneer. Mr. 11. Oakley Browne, announced that tne firm would hold auction sales of cars at rcjujar intervals. The auction showed very little demand for prewar cars, the tcndoncy being to bid for cars of modem tvne. and with self-starters and electric light equipment. Tho auctioneers aimoui™ that cars that did not reach their reserves are now open for private sale.
