"PUSSYFOOT" JOHNSON
MESSAGE FOR "SOFT PEDAL WETS." (Rec. April 11, 5.5 p.m.) . London, April 9. "Pussyfoot" Johnson is returning lo America. Interviewed by the "Daily Chronicle" he said ho was going back to tell the "soft pedal wets" that there had been a big slide in public opinion towards prohibition, widened by a panio in liquor organisations, wheh were spending enormous sums of money, most of which was wasted in organised "rough house" work at prohibition meetings; also that it had done liquor a lot of harm. "Among my converts are English titled folk, members of the House of Caumons, representatives of the biggest trade corporations, also a great and growing 6ecrct army of men and women, who are moderate drinkers, but would voto prohibition if put to tho test."— Aus.-N.Z.
